After a long week that had me depressed and discouraged, I decided to take the weekend to fill my tank up. Get a little inspired. Take a rest. Rejuvenate. Imagine.
My theme these past few months has been: Keep. On. Going.
Right now my favorite thing ever is to read through the poetry of Mary Oliver and these words of hers stopped me in my tracks.
For me, when things are rough, I need to get out and either take a (literal) hike or stand at the edge of some water. This is a favorite spot of mine and one that I have spent plenty of time thinking at these last few weeks.
When things are tough, what do you do to get back to yourself?

Lately it’s been quiet.
Reading (or re-reading as the case may be…) a great book. Sleeping. Sitting outside in the late afternoon and taking in the sun.
I journal.
I also might eat more chocolate than usual…. but well.. a girls got to do what a girls go to do.
That quote is beautiful…and that photo goes with it so well.
Quiet for me too. That is why I like to slip away & get out. Gives me space to clear my head. A great book = YES.
Oh my goodness, that picture is so captivating! I read a favorite book, drink a cup of coffee, share fellowship {usually a chat with hubby or sis}, or watch a movie.
Thank you! I snapped the photo a few days ago when I was walking near the river watching some guys fishing. One of the perks of living here.
