First things first, potlucks and I don’t get along.
I’m so glad we got that out of the way. Shall we move on?
I’m married to Eric (who just happens to be my favorite person.) We met when we were wee little kidlets. He is random and funny. Loving and kind. Quirky and strong. In the words of T- Swift, “He is the best thing that’s ever been mine.”
You may know me from Exemplify Magazine. I’ve freelanced some writing, managed a couple of teams, spoken at a few conferences . . . a little of this and a little of that. Now? I spend my time embracing new ideas and teaching quarterly bible study series here at Talk 21.
My passion, it turns out, is helping others uncover organic faith. Ah, it feels good to say that out loud. I’ve thought my passion was music, then writing, then creating media that is relevant, then getting to know a Starbuck’s barista like a BFF for a few free soy lattes, but those things always left me with an ache for more. It wasn’t that they disappointed, it was that those passions never felt complete.
After a year of hardcore quiet, the all- along truth dawned on me one very late night: my passion is pursuing & encouraging a soil-like love of Jesus. Dirty, messy, something we work at but a love worth the growth that comes from such a cultivation. For me, to pursue and encourage that, is to be steeped in the blueprint gifted to us. So, here I am.
