Still collecting dust on a shelf, but I think that I just might pull it down this fall and give it a re-look. One of the things I love about the scripture you quoted here is Nehemiah's request to God... “make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man.” What started out as a king-sized request (a request that might have cost him his life had the king not been favorable to his cupbearer), became a man-sized request. From king to man... all of our "good ideas", God-ordained ideas regarding leadership suddenly become manageable when placed before the Father's throne initially. Not sure if that makes sense... does to me, but anyway, I love this post because my heart is prone to Nehemiah and to how his leadership might help me be a more effective leader for the kingdom!
