The Quote:
Let me learn—
That the way down is the way up,
That to be low is to be high,
That the broken heart is the healed heart,
That the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
That the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
That to have nothing is to possess all,
That to bear the cross is to wear the crown,
That to give is to receive,
That the valley is the place of vision.— Puritan Prayer

That to have nothing is to possess all..
This morning I read this and much cycles through my soul…those who are in a place of physical nothingness and yet, even unknowingly possess all.
I’m journaling on my site about this one.
what a beautiful prayer…thank you dear for this.
That to have nothing is to possess it all.
Our lives are so full of “things,” especially here in America. Yet, the more things we lose, the more we receive from the Lord.
(great stuff, K!)
That the broken heart is the healed heart.
A reminder. He is close and He heals.
and
That the valley is the place of vision. I am so learning that right now.
I am finding how much I love to find out how God works in all situations of our lives…not just the good and joyful.
That the valley is the place of vision…though I still wonder if I need corrective lenses…
Me: That to bear the cross is to wear the crown.
That the broken heart is the healed heart. As it reminds me that when we think we are alone in this cold world where a friend may not be near, God is. Always with us..
That to bear the cross is to wear the crown.
The broken heart is the healed heart. I have the precious pink scars to prove it!!
blessings,
Pat

That the valley is the place of vision.
I’m cleaning my glasses so I can see more clearly.
That the valley is the place of vision –
I am at the bottom and the only place I have left to look is up.
Better late than never!
I had two – That the way down is the way up. For me, it reminds me that when I elevate myself, nothing good comes of it. But when I humble myself, get down on my very face before God, He lifts me up.
And then That the contrite spirit is a rejoicing spirit. Absolutely.
That the valley is the place of vision.
