It is the exclusive intention of Exemplify Online & Magazine to encourage the study and application of God’s Word through written and media resources. We aim to refresh the weary, to raise hopes by pointing to the eternal promises of Christ, to grow the found and to live lives that glorify.
Exemplify Online & Magazine focuses each month on bringing relevant, fun, Godly content to women. Whether it is through a devotional written by one of our resident mom writers, a bible study or the newest fashion tips– it is our aim to do this thing called life for the glory of Christ.
Our foundation verse is 1 Peter 2:21, “For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps.”
We want to be women who follow in his footsteps.
While we are not interested in publishing fiction or poetry, we are interested in articles that fall under any of the categories covered in our magazine: bible study, family, marriage, how-to, home decorating, single living, devotion life, fashion, health and ministry to name a few.
We are specifically in need of how-to, photography, crafting and home-keeping tip articles.
Our magazine is themed each month and we only accept articles that coincide with our set themes. You can view our theme list here.
- Articles should be both encouraging and void of condemnation. As this is a Christian magazine, all submitted articles must reflect a Biblical perspective and glorify Christ. If a Bible verse is included, it must be clearly referenced, including the translation it was taken from.
- Articles should be approximately 800-1200 words in length, and should be well proofed for error before submission. For more submission tips, please read this.
- Articles considered for publication must be in two months prior to the scheduled release. (Meaning if you want to be featured in the November issue, your article is due September 1st.) For a full list of deadlines as well as our editorial calendar, please read this.
- Authors must own the rights to any articles that are submitted.
- Articles must be submitted as a Microsoft Word, Pages or Google document along with the author’s name, email address, article word count, personal bio (100-150 words) and any website or blogs links included at the top. Authors may also include a photo along with their bio.
- Submissions are volunteer based only.
Exemplify Online & Magazine will feature articles that meet our editorial needs. Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot guarantee every article submitted will be featured. If an article is not received on or before its scheduled deadline, it will not be featured.
Exemplify Magazine and our staff editors reserve the right to edit your content accordingly. By submitting, you are agreeing that we may fix errors and rework submissions to meet our design needs. We will not tamper with the integrity of an article but may, on occasion, craft it to better express the mission of the article.
It goes without saying that Exemplify Online & Magazine will not link back to any site we deem inappropriate in content. Please save us the time and do not submit an article if your blog or website includes any content, photography or links that are inappropriate.
If you would like to pitch an idea for an article to Exemplify’s Magazine Feature Editor, Karen Lowe, please include a brief summary of your article as well as the theme it is intended for.
If your submission is accepted, you will be notified via email. Please keep in mind that while we try our best to answer in a timely manner, Exemplify generates a lot of email. You can expect a response within three weeks to one month.
